Love Hurts on Q’s Cassette Classic

I have another surprise remake on today's Cassette Classic.

Moving to Fargo during my college year had a big influence on me musically. The radio stations there were like nothing I’d ever heard before.

One of the songs I really liked, and the one I stayed up late in the dorms trying to record, was Nazareth’s “Love Hurts”. It was soft, yet hard. I went years before I realized it was a remake. And when I found out who did it first I was God Smacked for sure.

It was originally done by the Everly Bothers. I know right! Summer of 1960 this song was going over the airwaves.

Who’d thought that it would turn into a Classic Rock smash. Here’s the version I’m used to. Nazareth, and “Love Hurts” on K1017.
