DJ's love a good joke.

I got in on the tail end of DJ’s playing records. The fun part about that is you had to make sure you had the time correct. If you played a 33 at 45 speed, you got the chipmunks. But not always.

Since DJ’s are easily bored, and a bit of practical jokers, we sometimes would play the songs at the wrong speed on purpose. When today's Cassette Classic first came out, a L.A. DJ played the song at 45 speed and thought the vocals sounded just like Stevie Nicks. In fact, he even announced it as the new Fleetwood Mac song. The song was “Imaginary Lover” by the Atlanta Rhythm Section. See for your self.
