Shambhala Is a kingdom hidden somewhere in Inner Asia.  Three Dog Night are a group of hitmakers in really REALLY bad suits from the early seventies who once had an album with a cover depicting a woman in an operating room giving birth to a Three dog Night album, I kid you not.

This here song went to number 3 in 1973, has a gospel feel to it, and was the favorite song of a girl I thought I was starting a relationship with right before she started describing a night of HELLO with her up till then unmentioned actual boyfriend, introducing me to a thing called "The Friend Zone."
