Which was most likely the problem for American audiences, what box to put these guys in. Yeah, the lead singer sand in that high keening voice common to prog rock bands, but there was still some earthiness there, some grit, which separated them from the dog whistle pitch the singers in other bands were aiming for. Today's song broke through on American rock radio, however, thanks in no small part to it's "go for it" lyrics, a popular 80's theme. Also the song winds through two or three different phases but is still solid and American straight foward in it's approach to the "rock" that folks down here dug it the most. Which is to say you could pump your fist to it on a Saturday night and not feel weird like when you were listening to your older brother's Yes albums and started "thinking" or "getting bored."
