    This day was big in the life of Paul McCartney. In 1980 he was jailed for nine days in Tokyo for marijuana possession after being found with 219g on his arrival at Narita Airport in Japan. Then in 1984 he took his wife down as well. They were arrested in Barbados for drug possession and were each fined $200 dollars.

    George Harrison

    24 years after the Beatles first hit the top of the charts in the U.S., George Harrison topped them by himself with his three chord hit "Got My Mind Set on You". It was an old favorite of Mr. Harrison that was originally cut by James Ray in 1962.

    George didn't make it to number 1 in his homeland, because in 1988, Former Go-Go's singer Belinda Carlisle was on top of the pops with "Heaven Is A Place On Earth.'"
