I would be remiss if I didn't mention the other baseball promotional disaster of the 1970s. What a wacky time that decade was!

It seems crazy major-league baseball had to scrape to get people to come and attend games during the week. Nowadays you have to have a certain minimum income to qualify for tickets. But such were the conditions when $.10 Beer Night happened.

Boy did it ever happen!

Baseball purists will bemoan the fact that these promotions – $.10 Beer Night and Disco Demolition Night  –  prevented legitimate baseball game play. Yeah, I can see where that would be really uncool. If baseball is your life, on these nights you died a little inside.  But to those who love slowing down to see a train wreck, these incidents are truly unbelievable. So if you're in the former as opposed to the latter, this clip is not for the faint of heart . If you're into the latter, you're about to go into laughing fits.
