The guys from Dude Perfect put together a video of amazing bowling trick shots with professional bowler Jason Belmonte.

I grew up in town with few people, but we had two stand alone bowling alleys in it. North Hill Bowl and Chateau Lanes, and Saturdays were for the kids. I was involved with a league at Chateau Lanes and we hated the kids at North Hill. Our bowling alley was old and dark, and North Hill was new and bright. Who the hell can bowl under florescent light? Children of Satan that's who. The only time I didn't have fun bowling was when we were forced to go to North Hill.

I had sort of forgotten how much bowling was a part of my life. Besides league on Saturdays, I also watched it on TV when I got home from league play. This was back with classic old timers like Mark Roth, Marshall Holman, and Earl Anthony. I was also responsible for taking all the cousins bowling on Thanksgiving. Like any American family Thanksgiving dinner was broken up into multiple meals, and inbetween them the grown ups sent us kids to the bowling alley to work off some pumpkin pie. We'd then come back and eat more pie, and watch the Wizard of Oz. I still hate that movie, but I love bowling.

This day and age bowling alleys seemed to need to be attached to something else just to survive. I guess they need extra incentive to pull the kids away from the Wii. This is fine, because I'm sure once they try the real thing, they too will realize just how fun bowling can be. I miss those days. But I also miss pro bowlers using only one hand to throw the ball down the lane. The two handed throw does seem to work well for trick shots though.
