Amazon Dash Button is the Dumbest Thing You’ve Seen This Week

There are times when people invent things just to invent things. In fact, I hope and pray that this is a April Fools Joke.

Please Lord, don't let this be real. There's a promotional video out now for Amazon's Dash Button. If you have a product you use all the time, say detergent, and you're about to run out, you just press the detergent button you've placed by the washing machine. Then, in a few days, Amazon ships you your new order. Take a look and see if you can see what makes this the dumbest thing this week.

Did you see it? O.K. this is what I saw. After the idiot, or shall we say person, pressed the button, they got an alert on their phone to verify that they want the product. Why, for all that is holy, would you just not use your phone in the first place?

"Crap! I'm almost out of detergent. Let me grab my phone/computer, pull up Amazon.com, and order some more."

What the hell do you need a button for. If you have kids, that button would just be something fun to push, so you'd be getting alerts all day on your phone. So stupid!

Or, and this is way outside the box thinking on my part. Get in the fricken car and run to the store! New technology is creating more and more shut-ins.
