Funky Fresh Instrumentals Week Continues On!This song makes me wanna roller skate. It throws ya back to the late seventies, the early eighties, down at your local Roller Rink, the dump on the edge of town that smelled of popcorn and dirty skate wheels. All the girls had feathered hair and wore cherry flavored lip gloss. All the dudes were fourteen had attempted chintzy mustaches.

This here was my favorite side of The Commodores. The gritty funky side. The side where Lionel was off to the side tootling on his saxophone and not singing. Sure he was secretly the lucrative marshmallow he would call a career, but for now, during this period, The Commodores were oh so funky, oh so good.
