Wow. That is one seventies looking classic rock band.  I honestly don't think there was a lot of bathing or shaving in that decade. Rock was ugly. Rock was nasty. Rock was great. And that's where we are headed today, fellow K-101.7 Faithful. To a place where a group of guys who look like a group of off duty camp counselors could rock your @#@! off. OL' BLACK BETTY.

Here we have a band from New York absolutely tearing through a cover of song by early 20th century black folksinger Leadbelly, and causing no end of flapdoodle with the NAACP and Congress of Racial Equality, calling for a boycott due to the lyrics, which was odd, since the lyrics, and specifically the Black Betty, can be interpreted in many different ways, from the vehicle used to carry men to prison, to the handle of a whip to the Queen Of Spades in a deck of cards. WHAM-BA-LAM.
