In August 1967, backed by moonlighting musicians from Motown, Jackie cut this under the instructions that it had to "jump and go with the percussion." One take later, he'd knocked himself out a number one chart hit, and one of Rolling Stone Magazine's Top 500 Songs Of All Time.

It was also the song used to make the Statue Of Liberty get down in the film Ghostbuster's II.
