Maybe when you're a kid and you're all rock rock rock and you're not a super sensitive girl, you don't fully appreciate the need for a prime bit of mellow yacht rock. Something soothing to your jangled nerves. Something to settle into like a warm bath of acoustic guitars, pleasant piano and harmony sweet as that wine swirling around in that chilled glass with the setting sun's dying rays glinting off the rim. Ahhh, when your dog insists on befouling your porch because the grass is just to high for him to wee in and you can't do anything about the grass cos your lawnmower just gave up the ghost and oh, you also found giant limbs from neighbor's rotting cottonwood trees littering your yard, you need yacht rock, you need Poco.

Today's song dropped into writer Rusty Young's head whilst he was paneling his living room and staring out at Los Angeles. He wrote the song in thirty minutes, it was Poco's biggest hit, hitting number 17 on the pop charts and number one on ye old adult contemporary charts, the home port of all classic yacht rock. Writer Rusty Young has been quoted as saying, "That was our first hit single. It's a classic, and it still pays the mortgage."

And it's your K-101.7 SONG OF THE DAY!

And, hey, now that we are all mellow and everything, check out this sexy little number we put together, just for you: Fifty Shades Of Duh.
