Temple PD Officer Shawana Neely says the department has video from a neighbor that shows 2-year-old Rian Sosa leaving his home alone on June 11th,  the day he was stuck and killed by a vehicle along an I-35 frontage road

Rian Sosa was struck and killed by a car around 2 o'clock in the morning on June 11th of this year. According to the police investigation, Rian had wandered away from his home and down to the frontage road. The toddler walked for about a mile before he was tragically struck by a car in the 3500 block of S. General Bruce Drive.

An early report indicated Sosa passed away from injuries sustained as a result of blunt force trauma to the head. The little boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

District Attorney Nick Garza hasn't commented on the case other than to say the investigation is not yet complete. Rosa was being looked after by an individual reported to be a 20-year-old relative. He was reported missing about an hour before police found him at the scene of the accident.
