Two Fort Hood soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan after a suicide bomber detonated an explosive at Bagram Airfield on Saturday.

Sgt. John W. Perry of Stockton, California, and Pfc. Tyler R. lubelt of Tamaroa, Illinois, died along with two others reported to be American contractors.

John Perry was already the recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for his service in the Army. This was Perry's second deployment to Afghanistan

lubelt was decorated with the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, National Defense Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Combat Action Badge.

The men belonged to Fort Hood's Headquarters and the Headquarters Company, 1st Special Troops Battalion, 1st Sustainment Brigade, 1st Calvary Division.
