You've heard the saying, "It's like riding a bike. You don't forget." turns out you do.

I learned to ride a bike in the 70's. Which means I didn't have training wheels, a helmet, elbow pads, or shine pads. I had a Father holding on to the back of the seat, and when he

it was either ride the damn bike, or rub some dirt in your open wound

got tired of running, he let go. Then it was either ride the damn bike, or rub some dirt in your open wound.

There's a reason why we learn to ride a bike when we're young. Our brains are more sponge like. It's easier to pick things up when you don't have the bias of age working against you. We all can fly as kids. We can. We just know it. That is until we try it. Then we know we can't fly.

So when you turned left the wheel went right, and vice versa. He, being a smart guy, figured he'd have no trouble riding it. He was very wrong. He then took the bike with him on his lecture tour. He offered hundreds of dollars to anyone who could ride the bike just a few feet.

He then had his little boy, who had been riding bike for a few years already, and had him try to ride it. It took the kid just 2 weeks to relearn how to ride a bike. It took Dad 8 months. Then he tried to ride a normal bike again. Can we guess what happened.
