Texas Named Pioneer State For Renewable Energy
It's very cool for the Lone Star State to finally be recognized as the player in other forms of energy than just oil. A publisher no less observant than The Wall Street Journal has said so in their latest article on Texas energy, "Which State Is a Big Renewable Energy Pioneer? Texas."
"Texas has added more wind-based generating capacity than any other state, with wind turbines accounting for 16% of electrical generating capacity as of April," reports Bill Spindle and Rebecca Smith in the Journal. "Now Texas is anticipating a huge surge in solar power."
