Temple police have released the name of a teenager suspect of shooting a man in the head, then abandoning him at an emergency room Saturday morning.

An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for 17-year-old Jose Juan Sanchez-Sosa. A criminal complaint from the Bell County District Attorney's Office charges Sanchez-Sosa with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and police say he is considered armed and dangerous.

The victim of the shooting - 21-year-old Ventura Garza-Esquiveal - is in stable condition at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Detectives say the shooter dropped Garza-Esquiveal off at the hospital's emergency room shortly before 9 AM Saturday, then fled.

Anyone with information about the shooting or who knows Sanchez-Sosa's whereabouts is urged to contact the Temple Police Department at (254) 298-5500 or Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477.
