Police in Temple are searching for two suspects believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Damon Johnson Thursday night.

The shooting occurred in the 1100 block of S. Terrace Street shortly before 8 p.m. Police arrived at the scene to find Johnson lying dead after having suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Donald Engleking, who has ordered an autopsy.

Witnesses reported seeing two suspects fleeing the scene of the murder. The suspects were described as being under 6 feet tall and wearing dark, hooded shirts.
