At least 15 people were injured when four Temple High School buses were involved in a crash with an 18-wheeler near Cameron Friday night.

The crash occurred east of Temple on FM 485 around 6:30 p.m. The buses were carrying band members, cheerleaders, the drill team, ROTC members. Details about the crash were scarce Friday evening, but witnesses reported seeing an 18-wheeler stopped on the side of the road and heavy damage to at least one bus. The 18-wheeler reportedly clipped the front of one of the buses, which started a chain reaction.

The 15 injured passengers were transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, but none of their injuries were believed to be severe.
