A man in Little River-Academy caught three teenage burglars in the act and held them at gunpoint until police arrived, authorities said Tuesday.

Richard Perkins told Bell County Sheriff's Deputies he saw a suspicious vehicle parked outside his daughter's home on Reed's Lake Loop. He then spotted a boy who seemed to be keeping lookout in the driveway. When he saw two other boys running from the home, he brandished his rifle and detained the teens until Deputies arrived to take them into custody.

When Perkin's daughter arrived to inspect the home, she discovered that a window had been broken and a TV had been unplugged.

One 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds were arrested and eventually released to their parents. Police have turned the case over to the Juvenile Division of the Bell County Attorney's Office.
