Yep, it's that time of year. You'll drive down the street and see houses with their doors and windows wide open. It's spring cleaning time! Time to air out the place and dump all the crap that has been building up over the winter. Well, it happens at places of business as well.

I've been working here going on 13 years now, and this is a first for me. Turns out that there are people who come to your place of business and take away all your papers to be shredded. It's amazing. But unfortunately the coolness factor of getting rid of all excess paper doesn't match the pain in the ass factor of the gathering of all excess paper.

Then there's the other issue of gathering all the stuff you no longer need. For example, Toys, Balls, Furniture and the like. Because once you identify these items you need a place to store them and it's usually the nicest room in the building. I was told I could go through and claim anything I wanted. I tried to get a nice chair, but that wasn't one of the choices. Forget it then. You can't offer me something then deny my first choice. To me that's a clear indicator that you're messing with me, and I never will allow myself to be messed with again before I dig a hole in the desert first. But then I've said too much. I'm sure this crap will either be put on Craigslist or the street corner this weekend.

As for the shredding, I was a little disappointed. I thought it was going to be like when they shred tree limbs. You know, a massive machine that you feed the paper into on one end then it shoots it to a container on the other end. And if was windy, like it is today, it would look like a ticker tape parade in the parking lot. Turns outs no. It's just a garbage truck.

It seems that when I gave blood today, they sucked the fun out of my day as well. Good luck to everyone this spring. I hope you find that used couch you've always been looking for. And no, that's not an Ice Cream stain.

Now, what are going to do with all the extra boxes? At least it seems the world looks a little greener now that we recycled. Of course I did drop my camera eariler so maybe the lens is messed up. Think positive, or just think, I'll leave it up to you.
