She Married A Dog to Break the Evil Spell

The Bride wore a dress, the groom wore fur.  Real animal fur, dog fur, the groom is a canine!

18-year-old Mangli Munda, married the stray dog as part of a tribal ritual designed to ward off an evil spell. Apparently the girl has had a lot of bad luck.

Her Momma and Daddy made her do it on the advice of the village elders.

Mangli’s dad found the dog and brought him to the ceremony in a chauffeur driven car.   Some 70 people attended the wedding which cost just as much as a regular wedding.  All the rituals were followed as the two were pronounced husband and wife.

Now with the marriage ceremony over, Mangli has to take care of the dog and raise him as a pet for the next few months.

She doesn’t have to stay married to him forever.  Mangli says,  “I will marry a man one day. It is the dream of every girl to marry a prince charming. So I am also waiting for my prince.”
