It wasn't much of a saga to decide to put this next group on the cassette.

One of the hits on my cassette in the 80s was from a Canadian group called Saga. They had a couple of hits in 82-83 from the album Worlds Apart. One was “Wind Him Up” and the other was “On The Loose”.

It was during a heavy gambling time. The gang I would hang out with was playing a lot of poker and talking about going out, and how we could wait to turn 18 so we could go out to the bars. So the two Saga songs hit pretty close to home. “Wind Him Up” had a gambling theme.

While “On The Loose” seemed to say that you can’t be stopped when you go out tonight, and God help anyone who tries to stop you.

I just really liked the blend of guitars and keyboards. They seemed to find a good mix of the two, especially during the over excess that was the 80s. Here is Saga and “On the Loose” from Worlds Apart
