A Central Texas fugitive out of Waco in connection with sexual assault has failed to register as a sex offender and is in violation of his parole, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Safety.

50-year-old Monroe Hernandez's reward has been increased to $8,000. The Texas' Top 10 most wanted fugitive was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman in McLennan County in 1993 and has been wanted for parole violation since September of 2014.

Hernandez is about 5'5" and weighs approximately 180 pounds with tattoos on his chest, left hand and both legs.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS.
