I just had to take a moment to say how delighted I was to see President and Mrs. George HW Bush do the coin toss in Houston  so soon after each of them were in the hospital.

I don't know about you, but looking at these elderly folks and the sacrifices they have made for our country choked me up. The Elder Bush was such a qualified individual to become President after his years of government service, in Congress for Texas, and as vice president for President Ronald Reagan, and unbelievable example and valuable on the job training from a master communicator.  I was very disappointed when he didn't get a second term.  Maybe he was just too good of a president and a man for us.

We could surely use a man like that now. If for nothing else than to set a good example for our kids. Of course that's nothing new for the greatest generation, who continue to be the gold standard for citizenship in America.

Thanks again for representing America and Texas one more time.
