Record Setting Kickstarter Campaign for the Coolest Cooler

I must admit, this thing sounds pretty cool. It is call the COOLEST, described as a portable party disguised as a cooler, bringing blended drinks, music and fun to any outdoor occasion. Check out the video.

The guy who wants to build and sell the Coolest is singing a happy tune. Ryan Grepper of Portland, Ore. now has more than 52,000 Kickstarter backers pledging over $11 million. That is a record! The "portable party" cooler is now the highest grossing Kickstarter campaign ever, topping the previous record of $10.2 million, held by the Pebble Smartwatch.

The news is extra sweet because Ryan tried to raise $125,000 for a similar model In November 2013, he missed his goal by 25 thousand. But that was November, who needs a cooler in November?

Ryan is currently in the process of locking in a final design and finding a factory to produce the coolers.

Those who pledged $165 or more, will get the cooler next February 2015.The rest of us will have to pay around $300.

By the way, Bunch O Balloons, that thing that fills up to 100 water balloons in less than a minute has raised over $900 thousand on Kickstarter, the Plano Texas family only wanted $10 thousand. Here's a video to refresh your memory.
