Prayer Offered as Tragedy Strikes Bus of Texas High School Cheerleaders, 1 Dead

One sponsor was killed, one was hurt and six cheerleaders from the west Texas town of Colorado City were injured when a trailer crashed into their bus after a Friday night playoff game.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families involved. After last year's bus crash involving Temple, an incident like this hits home.

My mother bought me a St. Christopher medal at a young age. Try though she might, she could not watch over me 24/7. My first car had a St. Christopher medal on the visor. Grant me, O Lord, a steady hand and watchful eye, that no one shall be hurt as I pass by. Thou gavest life, I pray no act of mine may take away or mar that gift of Thine. Shelter those, dear Lord, who bear my company from the evils of fire and all calamity.Teach me to use my car for others need; Nor miss through love of undue speed.
