June 15th thru September 30, Arizona, like other states, will have thunderstorms that produce heavy rain, lightning, flooding, and an occasional tornado. But since they’re in a desert, you also get the occasional Dust Storm.  Some can get so intense they get the title Haboob. If you’re a weather nerd, this is something that should be on your bucket list. Here's one that hit Phoenix last year. Notice the plane in the middle of the picture taking off. It's near the end of the film, but it will give you an idea of the magnitude of the storm. Seems like a get-a-way plane in a disaster movie.
