It's a new Jr. Worlds Record!

Check out this high school athlete who set a new record in the pole vault during the Texas Relays in Austin. Mystatesman.com reports that Armand "Mondo" Duplantis set the new record at 19 feet, 4.25 inches. Let's take another look at this amazing accomplishment!

Duplantis was competing at the Texas relays in Austin on April 1st. He is from Lafayette High School in Louisiana. Armand blew past college and professional athletes alike for the win. He received a standing ovation from the stadium crowd upon landing the jump.

Duplanits is scheduled to compete in the World Championships in London this summer. He hopes to win a gold medal at the Olympics one day. Best of luck, Armand!
