Alright, we finally have a good fight on our hands. "Lucy" vs "Hercules"!

I will say this up front I am rooting for Lucy!  Face it Hercules is old.  It's kind of a "been there, seen that" kind of movie for me.  Who cares if Hercules can return John Hurt to his throne?   Not me!  But maybe some of you do so here is a trailer.  Of course you know the Rock plays Hercules and he had to bulk up to do it!  "Hercules"  is rated PG-13.  The movie covers Herc's 12 Labors, and he also fights in a war because of the throne thing.

Others in the cast include Joseph Fiennes as the guy who commands Hercules to perform the 12 Labors. "Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit" model Irina Shayk makes her acting debut as Hercules' wife.

Hercules had a wife?  Maybe I don't know everything about the man!

Next we have "Lucy". (Lucy Ricardo always comes to mind when I hear that name)

Now I can't say "Lucy" is original, but I can say it's the first time I ever saw a woman on screen get to use 100 percent of her brain power, becoming magical and strong.

"Lucy" is rated R and stars Scarlett Johansson.  She is kidnapped and forced to act as a drug mule, carrying a powerful synthetic drug inside her body.  When some of the drugs leak into her system, they unlock her brain's capacity to operate on a higher level than any other human.

She develops increased intelligence, and powers like telepathy and telekinesis,  while being chased by killers who want the drugs that are inside her.  Morgan Freeman is the only one who can help her.

And lastly the movie for the older crowd, it's only in about 1800 theaters so we can't really expect  "And So It Goes" to even crack the top five.  It does look cute though.

Michael Douglas plays a cranky old man who's stuck taking care of his granddaughter. Diane Keaton is a neighbor who likes him even though nobody else does.

So you know where I stand.  "Lucy" will Smack Down "Hercules" this weekend!
