When I younger I thought it would be great to be a talk show host. I loved watching Johnny

This guys sucks

Carson. He always looked like he was having the time of his life. Plus, everyone who was anyone wanted to talk to him. How could you not want that job.

Then David Letterman came on the scene. He was having the fun at a new level. Plus he was an ass. Which, was great, because by that time, so was I. I thought this even better. I could be an ass to the people I wanted to, and still hold a great job. The only issue I had was that I was horrible at interviews.

Then Jay Leno took over for Johnny. Then I thought...What the hell! This guys sucks worse than I do at interviews and he's got the ****** Tonight Show.

When I got into radio, I started to have to do "show prep". Which is basically taking the days events and making jokes about it. It's a lot like writing a monologue. And when you think about how many Johnny Carson had to do, you'd take some off in the middle of week also.

When it comes down to it, there will always only be one Talk Show Host, and that's Johnny Carson, so it seems fitting that they made National TV Talk Show Day on his birthday.
