I've been following this since the end of of last summer. You'll forgive me my rabid enthusiasm, but I'm a big Mad Max fan. So the prospect of a brand new entry in the series, by the original director, coming in just a couple of months, has got me GIDDY.

YEAH. The Mad Max movies were part of the huge wave of movies that swept out of Australia in the late seventies, early eighties, a breed apart from American films in their gritty, raw boned adventurousness. Never slick, always earthy, and to a kid fed on the slick Hollywood product, just damn exciting. And Mad Max, directed by former doctor George Miller with almost no budget and tons of wild eyed brio, was the lead grenade.

"Apocalypse POW!" I think one critic said, I remember being so wired after the movie, my back hurt for the rest of the day. And so, last July, the first trailers for the brand new movie, Mad Max: Fury Road dropped, and the fifteen year old kid in me jumped straight back into existence. I covered that first trailer and the excitement it brought my pants last summer. Read that article by clicking the pic here:

And so, it has come to pass that they're dropping new trailer goodness this week.

Max Rockatasnky hits Fury Road this May. BOOM!
