The parents of the young Waco girl who received a rope burn around her neck on a school field trip have filed a lawsuit against said school.

Live Oak Classical School and Lawrence Germer, the owner of the ranch, were named in the lawsuit that was filed in Travis County.

According to The Dallas Morning News, the schools attorney, David Deaconson, stated that the school will "stand behind the facts", the girls injuries were an "unfortunate accident", not the result of bullying.

The lawsuit is seeking more than $3 million in damages.
