My old State made HBO Sunday Night. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver took a look at

North Dakota. Mountain Removal Project Complete

what the Frakken oil boom has done for the state. My family still lives there so I know all about what Frakk is going on. In fact my folks visited the city of Minot this past week and was in a car accident. They got clipped by a big truck. They're fine, thanks for asking, but unfortunately there's still trucks on the road.

I thought the main issue is going to be earthquakes that messes up North Dakota, but it turns out it's Big Oil. The show has video of a guy that works with explosives. He said one time he was working 69 hours straight. That leads to the question...Is this even regulated? Yes and No, with no being much bigger than yes.

They make fun of how nice the people are up in North Dakota. They put up billboards saying to Be Polite. After they told the story of how Big Oil is bending the people over the oil barrel, they bought a billboard saying "Be Angry". And one of the is near a bar that I used to watch the Super Bowl at. Of course they missed the billboard campaign that said. "North Dakota. Mountain Removal Project Complete"
