I have good news and bad news about the Highway 190 construction in Killeen. The bad news is we have lane closures, the good news is they only last two days, at most, for now!

Killeen folks tell us the inconvenience is scheduled for this Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (July 8-9)

The inside lane of westbound US 190 between the Stan Schlueter Loop exit and the W.S. Young Drive exit will be closed. The outside lane will remain open.

The inside lane of eastbound US 190 between the Knight’s Way exit and the Indian Trail exit will be closed. The outside lane will remain open.

Construction crews will be moving concrete barriers related to the US 190, FM 2410 and Rosewood Drive project.

Did you see there are now traffic lights at the Rosewood intersection?

All the 190 expansion is supposed to be finished by the end of the summer.  When that happens Highway 190 will be 6 lanes from Harker Heights to Fort Hood's main gate.

Be patient the end is near!
