Killeen Accident Leaves Man Trapped Under Parked Semi Trailer

Authorities are still trying to figure out exactly how one individual was able to pull out of their Killeen apartment complex and veer off-road, hit a pole, then a guide-wire, a gas meter, cross an open field, slam into a parked semi-trailer, and become trapped in their own vehicle.

The accident happened on Monday afternoon at about 2:30 pm. Two wreckers needed to be used to lift the trailer off of the pick-up and extract the driver who was trapped between his own pick-up and the parked trailer.

This crazy crash happened near the intersection of Willow Springs Road and Trenton Avenue. The parked trailer was not attached to a rig, and was just parked along the road when it was struck.

The driver was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple in serious but not life-threatening condition.
