When I was 17, it was a very good year. I was limber and fast. I could do flips and back bends and of course cart wheels.

That photo inspired me to go back to the time when every girl I knew thought they could be a gymnast.

It may have been a few years before that, when we were all hanging upside down on the monkey bars, pulling ourselves up, and flipping round and round.  If I tried that now I would probably rip my arms off.

So I decided to stay away from the monkey bars and stay on the ground. My goal this time is to do a cart wheel.  Those are so easy, hands on the ground, legs in the air, land on your feet and stand up straight.  Piece of Cake!

 

 

 

 

A shot of courage in the form of Bourbon would have come in handy!
