It's been a productive year in the Garrett garden (other than tomatoes).  My jumbo jalepeno plants are booming, my squash are gigantic, and today I got my first cantaloupe... ever.

The early rains and cooler temps have certainly helped, but I truly believe the potassium in the Kinetico system I have in my house and the change in fertilizer recommended by Johnny from Johnny's Steaks & BBQ in Salado also had an impact.  This is the second time I've pulled a ginormous squash from the garden this year, and this one is even bigger than the first.  What I'm happiest about today is my first successful cantaloupe grown in my garden.  First time ever.  I might just be able to survive a zombie apocalypse, after all.
