While they're not exactly the Beatles in terms of my love for their music, their longevity has been impressive.  They've taken the quantity approach in the quality vs. quantity battle, and they've hit many home runs over the years.  Here are my 3 faves.

I've always liked the Rolling Stones, from their early days in mono up to and including some of the newer songs from the 90s.  They've become a touring retirement home, but I'd still love to see them when they hit Dallas next month.  They may not be what the once were, but it's a definite bucket list item.

My wife, a huge Stones fan, saw them in 1996.  I have radio to blame for missing the show.  I left my college home, 5 minutes from the actual concert, to drive 45 minutes to work at the radio station in Oklahoma City.  My job that night?  Running a remote broadcast for another DJ broadcasting from the concert 5 minutes from my house.  Ouch, baby.  Very ouch.

    Paint it Black

There was once a Kevin Spacey movie that tried to ruin this song for me, but I love it to this day.  It's got a bit of a spooky feel to it, and it's a great song to hear on a cloudy, cool day.

    Tumbling Dice

This was a song I'd hear on the radio growing up, but I never caught the name of the song.  I love the full sound the song presents with the backing female vocals.

    Midnight Rambler

A great Keith Richards riff, combined with harmonica & vocals from Mick makes for my absolute favorite Stones track.  The song was considered somewhat controversial upon its 1969 release, but what wasn't controversial in the 1960s?
