Gatesville Intermediate School Video Wins a $15,000 Prize

Congratulations to Gatesville Intermediate school!  Students there just won 15 thousand dollars in the Fuel Up to Play 60, “Make Your Move”, video contest. Plus they got a visit from a Dallas Cowboy for winning!

George Selvie, a defensive end for the Cowboys, stopped by on Tuesday to help students and teachers celebrate.

According to the Killeen Daily Herald, the Gatesville Intermediate video, featuring 37 sixth-grade students tumbling, dancing and twirling hoops, was one of five grand-prize winners in the national contest.  Jana Carpenter, the physical education teacher helped organize the video.  Assistant Principal Bridget Register shot it, and computer teacher Elizabeth Smith did the editing.
