Last season, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Fox Sports Southwest did something truly groundbreaking.

It was Fox Football Friday, a four-hour live television show on Friday nights on Fox Sports Southwest with Jeff Power and DCTF managing editor Travis Stewart on location at one of the big games of the week, it was as comprehensive as look at the Texas high school football landscape that you can find anywhere.

DCTF and Fox Sports Southwest recently announced the second year of the wildly popular Friday night show, which begins at 7 p.m. on August 31 live from Argyle for the Eagles’ season opener against Abilene Wylie in Week Zero.

But the Fox Friday crew going to be hitting Temple's Wildcat Stadium in Week One for 5A powerhouse Westlake at Temple on September 7th.

Two of the preeminent Central Texas powers get together for an old-fashioned slugfest. Westlake will probably enter as the favorite – that defense, which features DB Jack Meredith and LB Jacob Mansour, should be fun to watch – but here’s a prediction: the Temple crowd will be the rowdiest the Fox Football Friday crew sees all year.
