Killeen's annual Easter Eggstravaganza is scheduled April 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Killeen Community Center. Registration is now open  through Thursday.

 

The event features Easter egg hunting, bouncies, games, arts and crafts and more free activities. The Easter Bunny will be available throughout the event for photos.

 

Children ages zero through eight can fill their baskets with treat-filled eggs that will be scattered on the baseball fields behind the Community Center. Hunts will be conducted by age group according to the following schedule:

12 p.m.                                 ages 0-3 years                   Field #1

1 p.m.                                   ages 4-5 years                   Field #2

2 p.m.                                   ages 6-8 years                   Field #3

 

Participants must register. Registration is free but is limited to the first 300 children per age group. Hunters must bring their own baskets.

 

Children ages nine through 12 can participate in a flashlight egg hunt at 8 p.m. Registration is $5 and is limited to 250 participants. Hunters must bring their own flashlights and baskets.

 

Participants can register at the Killeen Community Center at 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard or the Family Recreation Center at 1700 E. Stan Schlueter Loop Monday through Thursday.
