Killeen will mark the start of the holiday season November 29 with the annual Tree Lighting event at the Killeen Community Center, 2201 East Veterans Memorial Boulevard. The public is invited to join in an evening of free family fun.
Santa Claus will arrive at 6 p.m. to light the 50-foot silhouette holiday tree and will pose for photos with children and listen to wish lists.
A movie in the park screening of Arthur Christmas starts at 7 p.m. at the Amphitheater. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy free cookies and cocoa.
