Missouri Dad, Dr. Justin Puckett got a letter from a substitute teacher about his child’s lunch last week.  The sub said the kid brought chocolate bars, marshmallows, Ritz crackers and a pickle.

She wanted the Doc to sign the note, and send it back to school along with a nutritious lunch the next day.  The Doc Dad refused to sign and posted it to his Facebook instead.

The Doc was deeply offended that this substitute dare question him, a Doctor. Plus the whole ‘butting into my parenting’ thing. Plus THAT is not what his kid had for lunch that day!

This is what the Doc posted on his page about the lunch.

“Big brother..........At least get your facts straight before intruding. I was aware of her lunch contents. Four pieces of ham, low fat string cheese, pickles, 4 marshmallows, and a small piece of dark chocolate (she did have 2 extra pieces, one for her brother and another for a friend who we know well and her parents are ok with this). There were no crackers. Sure, I'd liked her to pack a few more veggies and maybe a piece of fruit, but we compromise on pickles occasionally. How would you respond to this note?”

Of course other offended parents had to comment about the interfering government. Obsessed people inundated the school with calls, faxes and emails, some using  NSFW language.

The Doc was horrified at that.  He says the school apologized, and he got to be on TV, Fox and Friends.  (We know how reasonable they can be…NOT!)

Now that the TV stuff is over, the Doc wishes you people would let the matter rest.  Leave the school and the sub alone.

And stop calling his office unless you want to make an appointment!
