Copperas Cove is honoring Heisman Tropy winner Robert Griffin III by naming a road after him in his hometown.

City officials and the developer of a shopping center in Cove agreed this past week to name the strip mall's main roadway after Griffin.

"There's not many times a city of our size gets a Heisman Trophy winner," Copperas Cove mayor John Hull told ESPN Playbook. "Anytime you get a Heisman Trophy winner, he's got to be represented."

RG3 started at quarterback for two years for the Bulldawgs and led them to the state championship game in 2007.
