Copperas Cove Chief Dies

Chief Timothy Moines, who has served as the Chief of Police in Copperas Cove since 1999 has died according to a release from the city of Copperas Cove:

'The City of Copperas Cove is saddened to report the passing of our beloved Chief of Police and Assistant City Manager, Timothy “Tim” Molnes. Chief Molnes succumbed to a lengthy illness earlier this afternoon while surrounded by his loving family.

"Chief Molnes dedicated over 36 years of his life to public safety and served the citizens of our community proudly since January 7, 1980. He had held the position of Chief of Police since July 1999. Chief Molnes was respected by many and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and co-workers.

"The Molnes family has requested respect for their privacy at this time.

"Funeral arrangements will be released as they become available."
