The cable service Comcast has apologized to Ryan Block after he tried to do a quick and easy cancellation over the phone, but the Comcast employee just couldn’t “let him go”

The company says the representative went too far trying to convince Ryan to stay. Listen to the conversation.

Isn’t it amazing how calm Ryan was.   The conversation can be heard all over the world since Ryan posted it on the internet.

After the Comcast Big Wigs heard it, the company issued a statement saying, "The way in which our representative communicated with them, (Ryan and his wife), is unacceptable and not consistent with how we train our customer service representatives. We are investigating this situation and will take quick action."

Surprisingly Ryan does not want the customer service rep fired, he responded to the Comcast statement on Twitter with this, "I hope the quick action you take is a thorough evaluation of your culture and policies, and not the termination of the rep."

Oh my is he not the "former" best customer ever?

By the way Ryan is a former editor of Engadget, he works for AOL, and his wife is a Web show host and writer.
