Chip & Joanna get Sunday Morning treatment from Jane Pauley
In Central Texas, we all know the hottest thing on television is HGTV's Fixer-Upper starring Waco"s own renovation power couple, Chip and Joanna Gaines. Millions watch them each week and with their expanding business empire, they're a genuine sensation around these parts.
Old-school traditionalist that I am, I don't think you have truly made it until one of the storied old newsmagazines - think 60 Minutes or Barbara Walters - takes a shine to you and gives you the full-blown profile treatment. For Chip and Joanna, it finally happened today.
No less a correspondent then Jane Pauley, the one time reigning hostess of NBC's Today franchise who now contributes to CBS, came to Waco to profile the community's favorite renovation mavens. Baylor alumni were grinning ear to ear from coast-to-coast. Three nice people chatting about having fun on TV and working to make central Texas more beautiful. How cool is that?!
