Two former business partners of Fixer Upper star Chip Gaines have filed a $1 million lawsuit against the HGTV host whom they claim, according to court documents obtained by our news, partner KWTX–TV, cut them out of the Magnolia Realty business days before Gaines signed the lucrative contract with the cable network to launch the now-famous show.

The suit names the network and syndicator Scripps Howard for damages.
