A simple message to the Chinese government: are you sure you want to mess with Texas?

Seriously, Texas is like a whole other country. If you think the Taiwanese resistance is a problem, just wait till you see the descendants of Sam Houston take up arms in defense of a cause, especially one involving a lady. One of our ladies.

Sandy Phan–Gillis is being held by Chinese authorities for being a spy. Never mind that she's American and lives in Houston. Never mind that although she is of Chinese descent, she was born outside of China in Vietnam.   Never mind that the Chinese are accusing her of recruiting spies in the mid to late 90s in China, she was working as a clerk in the Houston Police Department at the time and had not traveled to China.

Here's something that will make your blood boil: she was tortured while in Chinese custody which caused her to have a heart attack.

If they didn't have something worth spying about no one would have to spy on them in the first place.  And since she's from Texas, you know her intentions are 100% honorable.

Unfortunately, the administration has yet to secure her release. They've also yet to secure testicular fortitude, but you knew that.
